The Glen Burnie Park Civic Association promotes the shared interests of all residents by fostering communication, safety, and civic involvement. We advocate for thoughtful development, community improvement, and collaboration between neighbors, local government, and organizations serving Glen Burnie Park.
The Association is strictly nonpartisan and apolitical. It shall not endorse, support, or oppose any political party or candidate. All advocacy and engagement shall be focused solely on issues that directly affect the health, safety, and quality of life of the Glen Burnie Park community.
President
Gerry Arcuri - Baylor Rd.
The President shall:
Preside at all Association and Board Meetings
Approve all disbursements and sign all checks
Be responsible for the orderly conduct of all Association business
Appoint all committees and special delegations, unless said membership is provided for by resolution
Be ex officio a member of all committees.
Vice President
Christina Kent - Wesley Rd.
The Vice President shall:
Direct the affairs of the Association in the President’s absence
Assume the position and title of President for a vacated or otherwise expired term.
Treasurer
Melissa Brandt - Elizabeth Rd.
The Treasurer shall:
Account for all monies received and disbursed
Sign checks when needed
Report the status of all accounts when required by the President to do so
Prepare and submit all corporate State and Federal tax and financial reports
Prepare and submit an annual budget to the Board.
Secretary
Ari Aragón - Mayo Rd.
The Secretary shall:
Record proceedings of the Association and the Board of Directors meetings
Monitor the correspondence of the Association
Maintain possession of all permanent records
Transfer all such records to the succeeding Secretary.
Safety & Security Director
Butch Schmitt - Fleagle Rd.
Safety & Security committee leads and supports community watch initiatives and safety awareness programs; acts as a liaison with local police, fire, and emergency services. Leads or supports community watch initiatives and safety awareness programs.
Communications Director
Christa Davis - Pamela Rd.
This committee is responsible for the Association's newsletter, website, email updates and social media presence.
Outreach Director

This committee builds and maintains relationships with neighboring civic associations, local government officials, schools, and area businesses; supports volunteer recruitment.
Recreation Director
Steve Davis - Pamela Rd.
Recreation committee is responsible for coordinating use and upkeep of the neighborhood’s two community recreation areas. Serves as liaison to the Glen Burnie Park Swim Club and works collaboratively with pool leadership on shared events, facility updates, and community access.
